Life can sometimes feel as though we are repeating the same patterns in relationships, work, or our sense of self. Counselling offers a space to pause, reflect, and take a step beyond those patterns toward greater clarity and personal freedom. At One Step Beyond Counselling, the goal is not perfection but growth. Therapy provides an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, strengthen your sense of agency, and move forward with greater confidence.

Rev. Wendy A. Shippam R.P.
Wendy Shippam is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She provides counselling for adults who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, and patterns of people-pleasing or loss of personal direction. Her approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique story. Wendy believes that many people adapt themselves over time to meet expectations from family, relationships, or society, often losing touch with their own voice. Therapy offers a space to rediscover that voice and develop greater clarity and personal agency. Drawing from Adlerian psychology, attachment theory, and relational approaches, Wendy works with clients to explore the patterns that shape their lives while supporting them in creating meaningful and sustainable change.
